musicology

The passion for music goes beyond playing. From a profound interest in broadening his knowledge and approaching music in a more scientific way, Robbrecht decided to study musicology at the Catholic University of Leuven. In the meantime, he has completed his bachelor's degree with great distinction. An internship at the artistic department of the Amsterdam Concertgebouworkest made part of his studies.

His research topics include the history of the harmonium as well as the music of Sofia Gubaidulina. In addition, Robbrecht wrote a short biography about the composer Mieczysław Weinberg for the Royal Academy of Music in London. In October 2022, he was the head of programming for the British Music Festival in The Hague
